With sweeping views toward the north shore, this special property and existing main residence lacked covered parking and a cohesive entry progression tying all together. The entrance to your home sets the tone for all else. A moment to pause or sit and relax before going inside, the quality to create these moments were our task. The owner recently purchased this property and was missing this experience. After a few concept studies we landed on a carport which is screened by ¾ high walls on three sides and full height area to includes some added and needed storage. Connecting the carport to the main home is achieved via a covered walkway adding interest to the existing architecture. The Entry Lanai was expanded and re-worked so that the widened entry stairs are closer to the parking structure and more inviting for those lingering conversations upon arriving, leaving, or in between, with its new gracious seating area open to the North Shore beyond.

The owner is looking forward to having her home include all of the functional needs desired including an intentional and dynamic entry experience.

We are currently awaiting a building permit and hope to begin Construction in the Spring of 2025.
